SANTA MONICA, Calif. — A California officer fatally shot a person who wounded him with a knife outdoors a metropolis police headquarters in what authorities referred to as “an unprovoked assault.”
A person in his 30s approached the male officer outdoors the entrance doorways of the Santa Monica Police Division round 5:20 p.m. Saturday. The person was advised he would want to attend whereas the officer completed talking to a resident, the division stated.
