A 60-year-old man from Kandivali (West) has lodged a police case towards a girl he was relationship, her daughter and her daughter’s pal for allegedly blackmailing him by threatening to inform his spouse about his affair after which extorting cash and valuables price practically Rs 37 lakh from him. The Kandivali police arrested the girl’s daughter’s pal on Friday and are searching for the mother-daughter duo.
In response to police sources, the 60-year-old, who works with an actual property firm, was in contact with the accused girl for the previous few months, and the 2 had been in a relationship.
The girl, her daughter and her daughter’s 21-year-old pal then began blackmailing him. As per the police grievance, the accused youth robbed Rs 14,500 money from the complainant at knife-point whereas dropping him at his home on August 23.
“The trio between August and December extorted cash from the aged particular person by threatening to inform his spouse about his illicit relationship. By blackmailing and threatening to kill him, they extorted Rs 30.88 lakh in money, Rs 3.98 lakh through UPI, and an iPhone Professional Max price Rs 1.88 lakh,” the complainant acknowledged in his police grievance.
Scared, the complainant saved giving in to their calls for. However on December 10, the accused demanded Rs 1.40 crore from him. The complainant the approached police.
Police have registered a case towards the three beneath sections 309(4) (theft), 308(2) (extortion), 308(3) (placing any particular person in concern or makes an attempt to place any particular person in concern or any damage for extortion), and three(5) (widespread intention) of Bhartiya Nyay Sanhita (BNS).
