
Congress MLA and Mumbai Congress president Varsha Gaikwad on Saturday wrote to the state’s chief electoral officer (CEO) , demanding motion in opposition to BJP chief and MLA Aashish Shelar for allegedly utilizing a time period ‘love jihad’.

On Wednesday, CEO S. Chockalingam had mentioned that giving communal overtones to voting patterns through the use of phrases like ‘vote jihad’ will likely be handled throughout the authorized framework. “The mannequin code of conduct got here into power yesterday.
