The Israeli Protection Forces (IDF) confirmed on Thursday that they’ve withdrawn their forces from the city of Khiam in southern Lebanon in accordance with the ceasefire settlement with Hezbollah.

In a publish on X, CENTCOM stated Military Basic Michael Kurilla, a CENTCOM commander visited the command centre in Beirut the place the ceasefire monitoring is being performed and met with the commander of Lebanon’s armed forces, Basic Joseph Aoun.

CENTCOM stated “Kurilla was there to watch the continuing first Israeli Protection Forces withdrawal and Lebanese Armed Forces substitute in Al Khiam, Lebanon, as a part of the settlement.”
“This is a vital first step within the implementation of a long-lasting cessation of hostilities and lays the muse for continued progress,” Kurilla stated.
