President-elect Trump on Wednesday tapped former Performing Lawyer Basic Matthew Whitaker to turn into U.S. ambassador to the North Atlantic Treaty Group (NATO) in his new administration.
Trump described Whitaker, who’s from Iowa, as “a powerful warrior and constant Patriot, who will guarantee the US’ pursuits are superior and defended.”
“Matt will strengthen relationships with our NATO Allies, and stand agency within the face of threats to Peace and Stability – He’ll put AMERICA FIRST,” Trump stated in an announcement. “I’ve full confidence in Matt’s capacity to characterize the US with Energy, Integrity, and unwavering Dedication. I look ahead to working intently with him as we proceed to advertise PEACE THROUGH STRENGTH, Freedom, and Prosperity across the World.”

“Matt can also be the previous U.S. Lawyer for the Southern District of Iowa, and is a graduate of the College of Iowa with a B.A., MBA and J.D., the place he performed soccer, and acquired the Large Ten Medal of Honor,” Trump added.
