
President Donald Trump introduced Thursday that the Nationwide Backyard of American Heroes might be getting statues of American sports activities legends.
Throughout a Black Historical past Month ceremony on the White Home, Trump revealed that late NBA star Kobe Bryant, late boxing star Muhammad Ali and late civil rights icon and MLB pioneer Jackie Robinson will all be represented with statues within the backyard.

Along with the legendary athletes getting statues, Trump introduced a number of civil rights leaders in different fields, together with Martin Luther King Jr., Harriet Tubman, Rosa Parks, Billie Vacation, Aretha Franklin, Coretta Scott King and Frederick Douglass, may even get statues.Â

The Nationwide Backyard of American Heroes was unveiled by Trump in 2020 and is devoted to celebrating heroic figures in American historical past.
