Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on Tuesday declared himself a “proud feminist” as he lamented Vice President Harris’ loss to President-elect Trump within the 2024 presidential election as only one current instance of a setback for girls’s progress.
Trudeau delivered remarks in Ottawa at a gala for Equal Voice, a company that works to enhance gender illustration in Canada’s politics.
“We had been purported to be on a gradual, if tough, march in direction of progress,” Trudeau mentioned. “And but, only a few weeks in the past, the US voted for a second time to not elect its first lady president.”
