One of many two brothers who had been sitting on the railway tracks close to Gokulpur Saboli Halt railway station in East Delhi died and the opposite suffered critical accidents after being hit by a practice on Friday night.
In accordance with the police, the accident happened close to the Meet Nagar Flyover whereas the lads – Sonu, 36, and Monu, 34, had been allegedly ingesting alcohol.
Allegedly inebriated, the brothers who’re residents of Ashok Nagar had been unable to maneuver away from the approaching practice, Rakesh Paweriya, Deputy Commissioner of Police (North East).
Sonu died on the spot and Monu is on ventilator help at Guru Teg Bahadur (GTB) Hospital, the officer stated.
The police have recorded the statements of the members of the family and witnesses.
“Preliminary investigations point out the incident was an accident. Each had been sitting close to the railway tracks and allegedly ingesting alcohol. The police have initiated proceedings below Part 174 of the CrPC (194 BNSS),” stated DCP Paweriya.
