Citing “peculiar information”, the Supreme Courtroom on Wednesday transferred the probe in two prison circumstances in opposition to West Bengal BJP chief Kabir Shankar Bose for alleged assault on ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC) staff from the state police to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).
“For all of the above causes and within the peculiar information of this case a writ of mandamus is issued to the respondents handy over the investigation papers pursuant to the 2 FIRs to the CBI together with all data for its completion in order that if essential, the trial could start, and justice is completed to the events,” a bench of Justices B V Nagarathna and Pankaj Mithal ordered, permitting the petition filed by Bose.

The incident dates again to December 6, 2020. Bose claimed that he was not current on the scene of the alleged incident and argued that the fees had been politically motivated – a fallout of his submitting for divorce from his spouse, who was the daughter of TMC chief Kalyan Banerjee.
