Three individuals allegedly related to the Lashkar-e-Taiba have been detained in reference to the grenade blast that left 12 individuals injured in Srinagar on November 3, police mentioned. The three have been recognized as Usama Yaseen Sheikh (28), Umar Fayaz Sheikh (25), and Afnan Mansoor Naik (27) – all from Srinagar.
Inspector Normal (Kashmir Zone) V Okay Birdi mentioned the grenade assault was “performed with the intent of disrupting regular life on the instructions of their handlers in Pakistan”.
A case below the Illegal Actions Prevention Act (UAPA) has been registered on the Kothibagh police station in reference to the incident. The grenade blast occurred final Sunday on the busy Sunday market in central Srinagar.
