Mohali municipal company (MC) has issued 45 notices to the homeowners of illegally constructed buildings within the metropolis within the final two months. MC Commissioner T Benith instructed The Indian Specific that the notices have been issued to the homeowners who’ve constructed unlawful buildings and now the administration is awaiting replies following which additional motion like disconnecting the facility and water connections and finally sealing of buildings will begin.
“In case of violations, we take the motion in three steps, first we concern the notices, then disconnect the facility and water connections, and lastly we seal the buildings,” the commissioner stated.
Prior to now few years, many villages which had come throughout the jurisdiction of Mohali noticed an unprecedented progress of unlawful buildings. Most of those buildings function as paying visitor lodging.
On December 21, the multi-storey constructing collapsed, killing two individuals.
