SEOUL — The South Korean army detected a projectile fired from North Korea that was suspected to be a medium-range ballistic missile, in accordance with the South Korean Joint Chiefs of Employees.
The missile was fired from the world surrounding Pyongyang, the capital, towards the East Sea at about midday on Monday, the joint chiefs mentioned.
The joint chiefs mentioned the South Korean army has heightened surveillance for added launches and is sustaining a readiness posture for sharing ballistic-missile-related information with the U.S. and Japan.
The final time North Korea test-fired a ballistic missile was Nov. 5, simply earlier than the U.S. presidential election.
