New SBA head Kelly Loeffler goes viral with tour of empty places of work

The not too long ago confirmed head of the Small Enterprise Administration (SBA), Kelly Loeffler, launched a video tour of her company on Friday, showcasing empty places of work in a name for presidency employees to return to in-person work. 

“It is my second day right here on the SBA,” Loeffler mentioned. “I couldn’t be extra excited to be right here. So I believed I would take a stroll. And what I discovered is that precisely what’s been mentioned is true. About 90 % of our workers are working from house. Effectively, that ends Monday with President Trump’s order to return to work.”

The video has picked up over 17 million views on X.

“The issue with earn a living from home within the federal authorities is that the workers can’t be fired,” former Deputy Assistant Secreatry of the Inside Division, Jeremy Carl, wrote on X Saturday. “While you don’t have to point out as much as the workplace, and there’s no accountability on your efficiency [and] that could be a recipe for catastrophe.”

Musk’s publish introduced criticism from some commentators. 

Market researcher Anna Matson defended work-from-home insurance policies in a publish Friday. “This is among the worst Trump insurance policies” Matson wrote. “There was one father or mother at house and one which labored. Now, each mother and father should work to outlive. Including 2-3 hours a day to their workday considerably reduces time with their household. If we wish to help households, earn a living from home when possible ought to stay.”

Republicans in Congress have requested that Loeffler use her authority as the brand new SBA chief to supply solutions on alleged taxpayer-funded electioneering in swing states and the failure to actively recoup fraudulent or misappropriated COVID reduction funds.
