In a latest census train performed for dolphins in Gujarat, 680 dolphins have been recorded in a 4,087 sq. km marine space within the state, stated Forest and Atmosphere Minister Mulubhai Bera in a press assertion Thursday.
The dolphin census was performed by the division Bera belongs to, in collaboration with numerous organizations and 47 consultants, in response to Minister of State for Forest and Atmosphere Mukesh Patel.
Bera stated that the coastal space of Gujarat from Kutch to Bhavnagar has been established because the “residence” of dolphins.

Bera stated that the dolphin is an important aquatic animal that performs a significant position within the meals chain of the marine ecosystem.
