
Chief of Opposition in West Bengal Meeting Suvendu Adhikari Sunday laid the inspiration stone of a Ram Temple at Nandigram in Purba Medinipur district on the event of Ram Navami.
Adhikari is the BJP MLA from Nandigram. The muse stone for the Ram Temple was laid at Sonachura village, the place a minimum of seven individuals, protesting land acquisition, had died in firing on January 6, 2007.
Amid loud chants of ‘Jai Shri Ram’, Adhikari, draped in saffron laid the inspiration of the temple.
“We’re peace-loving individuals; we’ll by no means do something that can tantamount to breaking the legislation,” Adhikari informed reporters after the occasion.
Noting that the devotees have been engaged in puja and devotional songs in reward of Lord Ram, he mentioned this has been the normal means of celebrating Ram Navami for hundreds of years.
“There was no requirement to create the hype across the celebrations,” the senior BJP chief mentioned, referring to the politically charged environment within the state over Ram Navami. — With PTI Inputs
