Mumbai Information Stay Updates: A day after the Election Fee declared polling date (November 20) for Maharashtra, the Congress’s screening committee will meet in the present day to determine on candidates for the single-phased election. The Congress is a part of the Maha Vikas Aghadi alliance and Congress leaders earlier this week claimed seat-sharing for many of the 288 seats going to polls have been finalised with its alliance companions.
In the meantime, following the killing of NCP chief Baba Siddique, the EC stated it can take a strict view on stopping violence, particularly in opposition to political personalities, because the Mannequin Code of Conduct comes into pressure in Maharashtra.
Newest in Baba Siddique homicide case: The fourth accused within the killing of Baba Siddique – Harishkumar Nishad, 23, has been despatched to police custody until October 21 and police stated he had offered monetary assist and firearms for the operation.
