A number of folks have been killed after a single-engine airplane crashed into the woods close to the Wright Brothers Nationwide Memorial’s First Flight Airport in North Carolina.
The crash occurred on Saturday at roughly 5 p.m. ET, based on a press launch from the Nationwide Park Service (NPS).
The variety of folks killed and their identities haven’t been launched.
Eyewitnesses reported that the airplane crashed whereas trying to land on the airport, based on the NPS.
The airplane caught hearth on account of the crash and was extinguished by the Kill Satan Hills Fireplace Division and different native hearth departments, based on the NPS.
An investigation into the crash is being carried out by the Nationwide Transportation Security Board, and the Federal Aviation Administration has been notified.
Wright Brothers Nationwide Memorial is closed Sunday because the investigation continues, based on the NPS.
