A 40-year-old man from Malegaon was arrested in Mahabaleshwar on Saturday for allegedly taking unsolicited images of a vacationer out there space.
The accused, recognized as Taufiq Istiyaq Ahmad, a resident of Nayapura in Malegaon taluka in Nashik district, was offered in court docket on Sunday and despatched to 14 days’ judicial custody.
The incident befell when a lady from Pune, who had come to Mahabaleshwar together with her household for a vacation journey, was buying out there. Noticing Ahmad taking her footage on his cell phone, the lady knowledgeable her household, who then alerted Mahabaleshwar police. The police detained Ahmad and his associates for questioning.

Police have booked Ahmad underneath Sections 74 (assault or use of prison drive towards a lady with the intent to outrage her modesty) and 79 (acts supposed to insult a lady’s modesty) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
