Lara Trump, President-elect Trump’s daughter-in-law, stated Saturday she is eradicating herself from consideration for Florida Republican Marco Rubio’s seat within the U.S. Senate.

The president-elect has nominated Rubio to be secretary of state.

Rubio’s senate substitute shall be appointed by Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and can serve the remaining two years of Rubio’s time period.
