
The Maharashtra authorities has granted one more extension to the Koregaon Bhima Fee of Inquiry, which is probing into the causes of violence reported in Pune’s Koregaon Bhima space on January 1, 2018.
An order on this regard was handed by Chetan Nikam, deputy secretary, dwelling division, on Monday. As per this order, the fee has been granted an extension until Could 31, 2025.
It might be recalled that widespread violence passed off in Koregaon Bhima space on January 1, 2018, in the course of the 2 hundredth commemoration of the Battle of Bhima Koregaon. One individual had died and several other others have been left injured within the riots.

To date, the fee has recorded statements from over 50 witnesses, who embrace villagers from Koregaon Bhima and Vadhu Budruk, senior politicians like Sharad Pawar, Prakash Ambedkar, authorities and police officers and activists.
The fee has been conducting its listening to in Pune. The latest hearings have been held from February 21 to 25. Legal professionals representing completely different witnesses and events are submitting their last arguments to the fee.
