The Karnataka State Girls’s Fee has urged state Legislative Council chairperson Basavaraj Horatti to order a high-level inquiry into the alleged use of derogatory remarks by BJP MLC C T Ravi in opposition to Minister Laxmi Hebbalkar contained in the Home on December 19.
The Fee chairperson Nagalakshmi Chowdhary wrote to Horatti saying BJP chief Ravi has insulted the ladies and their dignity.
“Requesting a high-level investigation into the reported incident that C T Ravi, Member of the Legislative Council, insulted the Minister for Girls and Baby Improvement Laxmi Hebbalkar through the use of vulgar and unconstitutional phrases,” she wrote in her letter.
A former Minister, who’s in a accountable place and may have immense concern and respect for ladies, has used the bottom stage of unconstitutional phrases in opposition to a lady minister on this esteemed home, which is an insult to the ladies of the nation, their emotions and their dignity, she added. She requested Horatti to contemplate this matter significantly and order a high-level investigation.
Ravi was arrested on December 19 quickly after the incident in Belagavi on the concluding day of the winter session of Karnataka Legislature.
Later, the MLC was delivered to Bengaluru. The Karnataka Excessive Courtroom ordered his launch, saying his arrest was unlawful as due process was not adopted.
