Kamala Harris accused of plagiarizing in 2009 e-book about being ‘good on crime’

Vice President Harris is being accused of plagiarizing from a number of sources in her 2009 e-book on policing that was launched whereas she was district legal professional of San Francisco.

The e-book, “Good on Crime: A Profession Prosecutor’s Plan to Make Us Safer,” was co-authored with Joan O’C Hamilton.

The so-called “plagiarism hunter,” Austrian professor Stefan Weber, discovered 27 occasions that Harris, the 2024 Democrat nominee for president, and her co-author allegedly dedicated some type of plagiarism. 

He discovered that “24 fragments are plagiarism from different authors, [and] 3 fragments are self-plagiarism from a piece written with a co-author.”

Manhattan Institute senior fellow and conservative activist Chris Rufo first reported on the allegation on Monday, pointing to a number of examples from Harris’ e-book wherein total sentences and phrases had been apparently lifted from different sources with out the usage of quotations, although in some circumstances a footnote cites the supply.

Fox Information Digital independently verified that Harris’ e-book options verbatim and near-verbatim reproductions from a 2008 NBC Information report, a press launch from the John Jay Faculty of Felony Justice, a Wikipedia web page and a report from the Bureau of Justice Help (BJA), amongst others.
