Former deputy superintendent of police and his three-year-old grandson have been amongst six individuals who suffocated to demise when their rented lodging caught fireplace in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kathua district early on Wednesday, an official stated.

Rocky Sharma, a scholar, stated he was learning late at night time when he observed the fireplace and rushed to the home together with others. “The fireplace had engulfed the drawing room, and the smoke that seeped into different rooms resulted within the deaths,” he added.
The police have registered a case and initiated an investigation into the matter.
