Abhay Singh, 35, popularly generally known as ‘IIT Baba’, was arrested Monday for possession of ganja, Jaipur police officers stated.
Digant Anand, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Jaipur Metropolis (South), stated that Shipra Path police station obtained data by the management room that an individual recognized as Abhay Singh was attempting to commit suicide in resort Park Traditional.
To confirm the knowledge, Station Home Officer Rajendra Godara and his crew reached the spot and located Singh, a resident of Jhajjar in Haryana, current on the stated resort.
“When he was requested in regards to the data given to the Police Management Room, the individual took out a packet of ganja from his possession and stated: ‘I had consumed ganja and if I’ve given any data underneath affect of ganja, then I don’t know’,” the DCP stated.
Subsequently, a packet of ganja weighing 1.50 grams was present in Singh’s possession and it was seized on the spot underneath the NDPS Act. Police officers stated because the amount of ganja discovered was low, he was launched on bail after presenting his surety.
“Nonetheless, a case is being registered in opposition to Abhay Singh underneath the NDPS Act and investigation is being carried out,” a police official stated.
