A resort positioned near the Deputy Commissioner’s workplace in Chandigarh’s Sector 17 collapsed early on Monday. No casualty or harm has been reported within the incident but.
In keeping with sources, three pillars of Resort Mehfil – which had been closed for some years – developed cracks every week in the past following some renovation work. The Chandigarh administration then declared the constructing unsafe and evacuated it a couple of days in the past.
As a precautionary measure, police had even closed the route in entrance of the resort.
Sanjeev Rana, who has a studio close to the constructing, mentioned that “when cracks developed every week in the past, even adjoining buildings had shaken.”
Erected within the Nineteen Sixties, the resort initially belonged to former Union minister Harmohan Dhawan who bought it round twenty years later.
Final month, a multi-storeyed constructing collapsed at Sohana in Mohali, killing two folks.
