
Delta passengers have been pressured to evacuated by way of slides at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta Worldwide Airport on Monday after haze or smoke was noticed within the aircraft, in accordance with the airline and the Federal Aviation Administration.
Delta Flight 876 was en route from Atlanta to Columbia, South Carolina, on Monday morning when “haze contained in the plane was noticed,” a Delta spokesperson stated. The FAA stated “the crew reported doable smoke within the flightdeck.”
The Boeing 717 plane — which had 94 passengers, two pilots and three flight attendants on board — returned to Atlanta and landed safely, in accordance with Delta and the FAA.
Atlanta Fireplace Rescue helped passengers deplane, in accordance with the airport.
