The convicted couple, Prakashji Thakore (then 27) and Chetna Thakor (then 21) — who work as labourers — had been accused of abandoning the new child in a public bathroom of a posh, the place they’d visited a hospital on the morning of February 21, 2020, in search of “therapy for insufferable ache” being skilled by the lady, who had advised the hospital that she was “six months pregnant”.
