Amid rising concern over frauds associated to “digital-arrests”, Surat BJP councillor Purnima Davle managed to report one such caller. The caller recognized himself as a customs officer from Delhi, and threatened to arrest her over a parcel allegedly containing 15 passports and a number of other faux paperwork in her identify. Davle, who’s the councillor from ward no. 28 in Pandesara space, contacted police and handed an utility to them with a cellphone quantity. Talking with The Indian Specific, she stated, “The caller verified my Aadhaar Id with me.
