A FedEx cargo airplane made an emergency touchdown at Newark Airport in New Jersey Saturday morning after a chook strike triggered considered one of its engines to catch fireplace, an airport official informed Fox Information Digital.
Dramatic video reveals the airplane banking proper when it lets off a big plume of smoke as fireplace seems from its proper engine.
Eyewitnesses stated that they heard a loud explosion too, whereas one other can be heard in a single video frantically yelling, “Oh my God, oh my God.”
In one other video, the FedEx cargo airplane may be seen touchdown safely whereas its engine continues to be in flames.
There have been no reported accidents and the airplane touched down at 8:07 a.m., the official stated. It’s unclear how many individuals had been on board on the time.

Air site visitors was briefly halted as a precaution on the airport, however operations have since resumed, the official stated.
