An aged couple died after a fireplace broke out at their dwelling on the third flooring of a four-storey residential constructing in Safdarjung Enclave Wednesday morning, police stated.
Based on the Delhi Fireplace Providers, the incident was reported at 6.01 am and three hearth tenders had been rushed to the spot.
The victims have been recognized as Govind Ram Nagpal (80) and his spouse Sela Nagpal (78). Govind was a retired worker of Kelvinator whereas Sheela was a retired worker of Vidhya Niketan, stated police.
Preliminary investigation means that the flames unfold via home articles, resulting in the deaths. “The crime and FSL (Forensic Science Laboratory) groups have been referred to as to the situation. Authorized motion has been initiated below Part 194 BNS,” stated DCP (Southwest) Surendra Choudhary.
