A 68-year-old eye specialist died in a fireplace at his home in East Delhi’s Laxmi Nagar on Monday night.
In accordance with Apoorva Gupta, Deputy Commissioner of Police (East), the Laxmi Nagar police station bought an alert on October 14 at round 7.11 pm relating to a fireplace on the floor ground of a four-story residential constructing in Block J & Okay Extension, close to a major college. Gupta stated two hearth tenders have been rushed to the spot and extinguished the flames.
The police stated Dr Bhim Sen Seth was trapped inside the home and was rescued by firefighters in burnt situation. “He was instantly shifted to Dr Hedgewar Hospital by the PCR however was declared useless upon arrival by the docs,” stated a police officer.
Throughout their preliminary investigation, the police learnt Dr Seth lived alone in the home and practised in his personal clinic close by. “His two youngsters, Rahul, 35, and Bhagti Seth, 27, reside in america and Germany, respectively, whereas his spouse, Rose Mary Seth, lives in Switzerland. The relations have been knowledgeable and are at the moment on their solution to Delhi,” stated the police officer.
The physique of the physician has been shifted to a mortuary in Subzi Mandi, and the Crime Group was referred to as for inspection of the scene.
Gupta stated, “An inquest continuing has been initiated underneath Part 194 of BNSS (Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita)”.
