Tripura Social Welfare Minister Tinku Roy Saturday urged residents to maintain Bengali people tradition and custom alive whereas cautioning towards the sick results of modernism.
Addressing a state-level Baul Utsav at Kailasahar in Unakoti district, the minister stated, “I urge you all to maintain the tune of soil, tune of life, this Bengali people tradition alive.”
He additional stated, “DJ live shows are taking place rather a lot… We’re transferring in the direction of modernism. Our society is getting degraded.”
Talking on the occasion, the minister additionally shared a current incident whereby a headmaster alongside along with his schoolteacher spouse sought the minister’s assist to permit them to remain in authorities quarters regardless of their youngsters being well-settled of their respective professions.
He cited the incident for example of the general ethical degradation of the society.
Almost 40 artists from completely different components of the state together with Kumarghat, Agartala, Ambassa, Dharmanagar, Sabroom, Udaipur, and Belonia are participating within the two-day lengthy competition.
