Because the drive towards unlawful immigration continues in Delhi, a Bangladeshi couple was apprehended and deported on Thursday, stated police.
Surendra Choudhary, DCP (Southwest District), stated that the couple, hailing from Bangladesh’s Bagaerghat district, was allegedly discovered to be dwelling within the Nationwide Capital Area since 2012.
“They have been detained following an operation led by a crew from the Safdarjung Enclave Police Station, underneath the supervision of the SHO and ACP Ranveer Singh. After thorough verification and questioning, they have been deported to Bangladesh by the Foreigners Regional Registration Workplace (FRRO),” the officer stated.
Thus far, over 5,000 folks have been screened and dozens of unlawful Bangladeshi immigrants have been deported for allegedly staying illegally in Delhi amid the Delhi Police’s ongoing drive, which kicked off following L-G V Ok Saxena’s order on December 10.
