A communal conflict broke out over the set up of audio system in Dumraon village beneath Ichak Block in Jharkhand’s Hazaribagh district Wednesday morning. The conflict occurred throughout Shivratri celebrations.
In response to Ichak Block Growth Officer (BDO) Santosh Kumar, a disagreement over putting in loudspeakers by the highway escalated into stone-pelting and arson. Authorities mentioned there have been no accidents or deaths.
An FIR has been registered, Hazaribagh Extra Superintendent of Police Amit Kumar informed The Indian Specific, including that three bikes and a automobile have been set ablaze.
In the meantime, Ichak Block BDO mentioned the 2 communities have been engaged in discussions to “resolve the difficulty”.
“The state of affairs beneath management proper now. A drive of round 150 policemen is camped on the spot. Extra personnel shall be known as in if required,” the BDO mentioned.
The BDO mentioned that previously, the 2 communities have been at odds over a “minar kind of construction” inside a madrasa. It was when loudspeakers have been put in close to the madrasa that the state of affairs escalated, officers mentioned.
