Given the prevailing climate circumstances within the area, together with chilly spells and predicted dense fog, there can be no bodily courses for college students as much as Class VIII in authorities, government-aided, and recognised non-public faculties in Chandigarh till January 11, an order launched by the Director of Faculty Schooling, Chandigarh, said on Saturday.
For college students of Lessons IX to XII, faculties have been instructed to not open earlier than 9.30 am and to shut no later than 3.30 pm. To keep away from disruption of pre-board examinations (if any), the colleges will open for pre-board courses, if required, at 9 am, and the timings for academics can be regulated accordingly, the order said.
