Hashem Abedi, the brother of the Manchester Enviornment bomber, Saturday attacked three jail officers at HMP Frankland in County Durham, leaving them with life-threatening accidents, BBC reported citing sources.
Abedi allegedly threw scorching cooking oil on the officers and used do-it-yourself weapons to stab them. As of 16:00 BST (8:30pm IST) on Saturday, one of many feminine officers who had been handled in hospital was discharged.
The Jail Service confirmed the assault, stating that the three officers had been handled in hospital after the assault and that police are investigating the incident.
Hashem Abedi, aged 28, was convicted in 2020 of twenty-two counts of homicide, tried homicide, and conspiracy to trigger an explosion following the 2017 Manchester Enviornment bombing, which killed 22 folks. After the Jail Officers’ Affiliation named Abedi because the assailant, a authorities supply confirmed his involvement within the assault.
