President Joe Biden introduced Tuesday that Israel and Lebanon have agreed to a deal brokered by the U.S. “to finish the devastating battle between Israel and Hezbollah.”
“This has been the deadliest battle between Israel and Hezbollah in a long time,” Biden stated in remarks from the Rose Backyard.
Biden stated the settlement reached will go into impact early Wednesday.
“At 4 a.m. tomorrow native time, the preventing throughout the Lebanese-Israeli border will finish. Will finish,” Biden stated. “That is designed to be a everlasting cessation of hostilities.”
