After pardoning turkeys on the White Home on Monday morning, President Joe Biden joined first girl Jill Biden for a visit to New York to proceed an early celebration of Thanksgiving.
The primary couple delivered remarks and served meals at a “Friendsgiving” occasion with service members and their households on the U.S. Coast Guard Sector New York in Staten Island as a part of the primary girl’s Becoming a member of Forces initiative to help army households.

He then placed on a darkish blue apron that includes a presidential seal, snacking on some bread earlier than slipping on some plastic sanitary gloves and shelling out greens.
Throughout his remarks, Biden expressed gratitude for the U.S. Coast Guard members who rushed to the entrance traces when back-to-back hurricanes impacted the southeast earlier this 12 months.

“When Hurricane Milton hit lower than two weeks later, it caught up once more to assist your fellow People,” he added.

Earlier Monday, Biden pardoned two turkeys from Minnesota, named Peach and Blossom, throughout the annual White Home ceremony.
He stated the birds have been named after the Delaware state flower: the Peach Blossom.
“This occasion marks the official begin of the vacation season right here in Washington,” the president stated to an estimated crowd of two,500 gathered on the South Garden. “It is also my final time to talk right here as your president throughout this season and provides thanks and gratitude. So let me say to you: It has been the glory of my life. I am without end grateful.”
