The PTI, quoting a supply reported, “Air India has canceled some 60 flights to and from San Francisco, Washington, Chicago, Newark and New York between November 15 and December 31, because it doesn’t have satisfactory wide-body plane to function among the flights to those locations.”
Air India operates 5 flights between Delhi and Washington, whereas Delhi to New York and Mumbai to New York have seven flights per week. To San Francisco, Air India operates flights from three locations, specifically Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru. On the route of Delhi to Chicago, Air India operates seven flights each week.
An Air India spokesperson stated, “Because of the delayed return of some plane from heavy upkeep and provide chain constraints leading to a short lived discount in working fleet, Air India regrets {that a} small variety of flights have been canceled between now and end-December.”
The flights canceled throughout the peak journey season, consists of providers to San Francisco and Chicago amongst others.
