Aaron Decide continued his scalding begin to the season through the New York Yankees’ 9-4 win over the Pittsburgh Pirates at PNC Park Friday.
Decide, 32, marked his 1,000th sport by hitting his sixth dwelling run of the season within the seventh inning off reduction pitcher Tim Mayza to make the rating 9-1.
Decide’s seventh-inning blast was the 321st of his profession, matching Babe Ruth’s complete in his first 1,000 video games with the Yankees.

The Yankees captain has received the AL MVP two of the final three seasons and picked up proper he left off to start out the 2025 marketing campaign. Final season, Decide hit .322 with 58 dwelling runs and 144 RBIs.
By seven video games this season, Decide has a .379 batting common with six dwelling runs and 17 RBIs.

Decide has hit extra dwelling runs than the Tampa Bay Rays, Colorado Rockies, Houston Astros, Kansas Metropolis Royals, Miami Marlins, Toronto Blue Jays and Minnesota Twins up to now this season.
Decide wasn’t the one Yankees hitter who had a powerful sport in opposition to the Pirates. Third baseman Oswaldo Cabrera was 3-for-4 with 4 RBIs. Shortstop Anthony Volpe had three hits within the win.

Fried signed essentially the most profitable contract for a left-handed pitcher in MLB historical past with the Yankees within the offseason, an eight-year, $218 million deal.
Decide and the Yankees (5-2) tackle the Pirates (2-6) within the second sport of a three-game collection Saturday at 4:05 p.m. ET. Marcus Stroman will begin for the Yankees, and Bailey Falter will take the mound for the Pirates.
