The College of Massachusetts Amherst stated Friday that 5 worldwide college students enrolled on the college have had their visas revoked by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
“The college has realized that, all through the course of this week and as of tonight, 5 worldwide college students have had their visas revoked and scholar statuses terminated by the federal authorities,” UMass Chancellor Javier Reyes stated in a letter posted to the college web site.
“I remorse sending this information so late on a Friday; provided that we realized of a few of these revocations this night, I felt it vital to share this troubling information presently.”

The Division of Homeland Safety stated the scholar, Alireza Doroudi, “posed vital nationwide safety considerations.”
