Vadodara police have arrested a 61-year-old man for allegedly raping a 16-year-old mentally-challenged lady in Gorwa space. In response to police, the incident befell on February 24.
The accused lured the sufferer to accompany him to the basement of an house and allegedly raped her, police stated
The residents of the complicated allegedly thrashed the accused earlier than the police rescued him and took him to hospital.
Assistant Commissioner of Police, B Division, RD Kava stated, “The accused suffered minor accidents when the residents caught him after the incident… The sufferer is mentally disabled and resided within the neighbourhood, which is how the accused got here in touch along with her. The forensic group has gathered proof from the spot…”
The accused has been booked below the POCSO Act. Police stated that the accused is married and lives along with his household.
