The Facilities for Illness Management and Prevention (CDC) appeared to defy President Donald Trump’s government order to withdraw the U.S. from the World Well being Group (WHO) after the U.S. company stated it will take part in a convention with the worldwide group.
The CDC confirmed this week that it’ll go forward and partake in a biannual convention on the influenza vaccine led by the WHO.
“CDC can be actively taking part just about on the WHO vaccine session assembly for the advice of viruses for 2025-26 Northern Hemisphere Vaccine this week,” a CDC spokesperson advised Fox Information.
The company didn’t make clear if it acquired an exemption from Trump’s government order, which required all officers to cease working with the WHO.
