Singer Roberta Flack, whose signature voice and soulful interpretations of songs reminiscent of “Killing Me Softly with His Music” catapulted her to the highest of the charts and influenced generations, has died. She was 88.
The legendary singer died on Monday, in accordance with a press launch from her representatives offered to ABC Information. No reason behind demise was shared within the assertion.
“We’re heartbroken that the wonderful Roberta Flack handed away this morning February 24, 2025,” the assertion stated.

Flack was recognized with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, in any other case referred to as ALS, in 2022, which resulted within the lack of her singing voice, her publicists stated on the time.
