BJP MLA-elect from Moti Nagar, Harish Khurana, is not any stranger to politics – his father, Madan Lal Khurana, was Delhi’s first BJP CM (1993 to 1996) after which Union Minister within the Vajpayee authorities. Khurana speaks to Devansh Mittal on his ballot debut and the way he wrested his father’s seat from 2-time AAP MLA Shiv Charan Goel.
What do you assume ought to be the priorities of the brand new authorities?
It’s already clear. The Prime Minister himself has made it clear. The water tanker downside in DLF (Capital Greens, a society in Moti Nagar) needs to be fastened. All such work shall be began within the first 100 days.
All of the three municipal wards in Moti Nagar – Moti Nagar, Ramesh Nagar and Karampura – have AAP councillors. How is your relation with them?
Finally, improvement is everybody’s precedence. Social gathering line is in its personal place and we’re in our personal place. I’ll coordinate with all three councillors and we’ll work collectively. There are some points that are below the MCD (Municipal Company of Delhi), reminiscent of parks and small roads. We’ll work collectively on these points.

Will there be a blame recreation once more with you saying that the councillors usually are not from BJP?
It shouldn’t occur. Finally, councillors had blamed their MLA for the work not being completed, proper? Now that the MLA has modified, there ought to be coordination, proper?
Your father was among the many first folks to demand full statehood for Delhi within the early Nineteen Nineties. Will that be on the BJP authorities’s agenda?
