Two American vacationers have been attacked by a shark at a preferred Bahamas resort over the weekend, police mentioned.
The feminine swimmers have been within the waters at Bimini Bay, which is a part of the westernmost island within the Bahamas and about 50 miles from Miami, about 6:30 p.m. Friday when the assault came about.
“Preliminary stories point out that the victims, each U.S.A. residents, sustained accidents whereas swimming within the waters at Bimini Bay,” the Royal Bahamas Police Power wrote in a press launch.Â

Each victims of the reported shark assault have been initially supplied with native medical therapy earlier than they have been airlifted to New Windfall, a separate island within the Bahamas, for additional medical care.Â

Lauren Erickson Van Wart, a 44-year-old newlywed from Massachusetts, was paddleboarding lower than a mile off the western finish of New Windfall Island in early December 2023 when she was bitten by a shark and killed.Â

The boy was taken to a hospital and survived the assault.Â
