Arun Kumar Sarangi, former Odisha DGP, assumed the place of chairperson of the Odisha Public Service Fee (OPSC) in Cuttack on Tuesday. He took on this new function after voluntarily retiring from the Indian Police Service (IPS). His final place was because the director of the Biju Patnaik State Police Academy.
Sarangi was appointed because the chairperson of OPSC by the state authorities in September. “My precedence can be sustaining transparency within the conduct of examinations for recruitment to varied authorities jobs. I’ll miss the uniform so much,” the 1990-batch IPS officer advised PTI.
He took cost of OPSC chairperson on October 8, 2024. He’ll serve for six years or till he reaches the age of 62, whichever comes first, in accordance with a notification issued by the Basic Administration Division.
Upon taking cost, Sarangi suggested aspirants to stay vigilant in opposition to people who promise authorities jobs in trade for cash.
