A month after a temple was found within the Muslim-majority Madanpura space of Varanasi, the district administration on Wednesday granted permission for holding prayers and rituals on the temple.
The temple, believed to be round 200 years previous, was found on November 19 by members of a Hindu outfit. Following its discovery, the Sanatan Raksha Dal requested that the temple be reopened for worship, claiming it had been locked for 70 years.
