A 64-year-old chairman of a non-public faculty was murdered by his nephew in his residential quarter in Solan district on Wednesday, mentioned police, suspecting a property dispute behind the crime.
Police recognized the sufferer as Jetinder Singh, chairman of KTS Public College on the Rajgarh-Sultanpur street in Solan.
Police mentioned the sufferer’s nephew Rinku was arrested in Punjab’s Ropar on this connection.
“Rinku killed his uncle Wednesday morning after locking a girl staying together with his uncle inside a room in his residential quarter close to the varsity. The girl raised an alarm after the assailant fled,” police mentioned.
Solan Superintendent of Police (SP) Gaurav Singh advised The Indian Categorical, “Rinku is the son of sufferer Jetinder Singh’s sister. An iron rod was used within the crime. The assailant hit the sufferer repeatedly with the rod inflicting extreme accidents. Our staff nabbed Rinku in Punjab’s Ropar. He’s being questioned.”
Sources mentioned the assailant fled the scene in his car and was nabbed in Ropar.
In the meantime, a forensic staff visited the scene and picked up samples.
