Police stated that within the emails, the sender claimed that the professors weren’t desirous about educating and that they solely come to speak to ladies and feminine staffers.
Based on police officers, the emails have been obtained by the institute on July 12, 2023, and September 20 and 23, 2024.
The officers stated that within the first electronic mail, obtained on July 12 final yr, the sender posed as a feminine employees member of the faculty and claimed {that a} male professor calls and sends textual content messages to ladies employees at night time. The sender requested the administration to put in CCTV cameras for the protection of the ladies.

Later, when the institute obtained one other electronic mail on September 23, the principal and a male professor reported the matter to the police station, after which a case was registered beneath Part 79 (deliberately insulting a lady’s modesty) and Part 356(2) (defamation) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), in addition to Part 67(A) of the IT Act.
